NORTHUMBERLAND ■ Fairies will be fluttering into Wallington for a magical Snowdrop Festival to welcome the arrival of spring.

Follow their enchanting trail through the East Woods - discover fairy doors tucked beneath mossy logs, nestled inside hollow trees and hidden in secret woodland nooks.

■ Cross the tidal causeway to Holy Island for a wonder-filled walk along the headlands. Spot the seals swimming just offshore, hunt for St Cuthberts Beads (Crinoid fossils) on the beach and play hide and seek in the Victorian limekilns.
