FC duo set to miss rest of the season

HULL FC loose-forward John Asiata has been ruled out for the rest of the 2025 season with another significant hamstring injury.

The 31-year-old suffered the injury in the second half of Saturday's victory over Leigh, pulling up after a kick and chase, with head coach John Cartwright post-match stating it “didn't look good.” And now further tests have confirmed the club's worst fears, with assistant coach Simon Grix providing an update.
“It's really sad,” Grix said. “With injuries where blokes have to leave the field, you guess they're going to be quite significant. It's unfortunate, Johnny is really important to our group and he works so hard, but that will be him done for the season. It's a significant hamstring injury.
