AN excellent letter from Penny King (Mail Box, June 10) showing common sense and joined-up thinking.

We need solar panels on roofs of all buildings where appropriate, especially new-builds. Some responsible builders are already installing them. Solar panels where sheep can graze and take shelter makes sense. I don't agree with growing crops under or between solar panels as this will be far too labour intensive and make the crops very expensive.
