AN AMBULANCE worker was left with a permanent scar after being bitten by a patient.

Sarah Prendergast had been resisting while being transferred from a mental health unit when the assault took place in an ambulance.
Prendergast, 28, of East Parade, Rhyl, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm against Joanne Whelan outside Ysbyty Gwynedd. A judge last week gave her an eight-month jail term suspended for 12 months.
