No issue with Kharge as PM face: Nitish

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said he has no objection to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's projection as the prime ministerial candidate of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), rejecting speculation that he was unhappy with the proceedings of the Opposition bloc's latest meeting.
At last Tuesday's meeting of the grouping in the Capital, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee pitched for Kharge as the alliance's PM face, a suggestion backed by both Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Nitish and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad left that meeting soon after, and the Bihar CM summoned a meeting of the Janata Dal (United) or JD (U)'s national council in New Delhi on December 29, leading to speculation that he was unhappy with the development.
