3 posing as visa firm officers held from UP for fraud

The Delhi Police has arrested three men from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly impersonating employees of visa and passport administration outsourcing company VFS Global, and duping Indians and foreigners by promising them employment at the firm, or by claiming that they could help facilitate their visa process, officers said on Wednesday.
Police identified the arrested accused as Chandan Barnwal, 26, who used the name Praveen Sahoo while running the racket, and his associates Ritesh Tiwari, 28, and Azad Pratap Rao, 23. Officers said the three men cheated an estimated 1,000 people over the past few months, and fraudulently used the name and logo of VFS Global.
VFS Global, meanwhile, appreciated the Delhi Police's role in cracking the case, and in a statement advised travellers to beware of "fraudulent entities making misleading promises".
