Tamo Misses Profit Estimates Due To Consumer Slowdown

Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) Indian parent, Tata Motors reported a quarterly profit that missed estimates as a broader consumption slowdown in its domestic market hurt sales of cars as well as commercial vehicles.
Net income for the Mumbai-based Tata Motors Ltd. fell 22% to ₹5,451 crore ($630 million) in three months ended December 31, compared with a year earlier, according to an exchange filing Wednesday. That fell short of the average analyst estimate of ₹6,435 crore.
Revenue advanced 2.7% to ₹1.14 lakh crore, missing the analyst estimates by a small margin.
