State agriculture minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey launched the distribution process of subsidised seeds to Jharkhand farmers on the occasion of 'Seed Day' by organising a programme at Krishi Bhawan on Kanke Road on Sunday.
RANCHI: State agriculture minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey launched the distribution process of subsidised seeds to Jharkhand farmers on the occasion of 'Seed Day' by organising a programme at Krishi Bhawan on Kanke Road on Sunday.
"The department has set a target of 80,000 quintals of seeds for the Kharif crop. This figure is double that of the last two financial years," Tirkey said after distributing seeds at the event.
Talking about subsidies, Tirkey said they range between 50 per cent and 100 per cent.
