Protests Erupt After Miscreants Murder Tribal Man in Ranchi

Unidentified miscreants stabbed a 35-year-old tribal man to death at his residence in Sarvodayanagar under Kanke police station limits in Ranchi around 4 am on Monday, officials said.

A police official close to the matter told HT that Ramesh Oraon (35) was resting when the miscreants committed the murder. "Oraon had returned to his house from the venue where the head-shaving ceremony of his son was organised, and many guests had attended the ceremony. He was resting when the miscreants barged into his house to commit the murder. Oraon's son was sleeping beside him, but the miscreants did not harm him," the police official said.
