Jamshedpur court summons 22 people in alleged INCAB scam

A local court in Jamshedpur has summoned 22 named accused in an alleged scam worth crores, where petitioners have alleged the involvement of foreign companies, Indian promoters, banking institutions, resolution professionals, and liquidators of the now-closed Indian Cable Industries (INCAB), a company established in 1920 in the city, people familiar with the development said on Friday.

"The court of first-class judicial magistrate Siddhant Tigga on Friday issued summons to the 22 accused under sections 409, 120B, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). It has fixed June 25 as the next hearing for the case. We will also file a revision petition in the session court to include the names of two more accused who have been mistakenly left out from the present petition," Akhilesh Srivastava, representing the workers and unions of the INCAB company, told HT on Friday.
