Free Power, MMSY Schemes Take Lion's Share

The two grand announcements—Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojna (MMSY) and 200 units of free power—by the Hemant Soren government ahead of the Jharkhand assembly elections in 2024 are now proving to be expensive for the state exchequer.
RANCHI:
MMSY is being implemented by the women, child welfare, and social security department, while the free power scheme is under the energy department. Both are headed by chief minister Hemant Soren.
