527 Minor Mineral Plots Auctioned Online in Raj

The state's mining and geology department has e-auctioned 527 minor mineral plots in the current financial year, generating a total revenue of ₹577.80 crore, an official said on Sunday.

"Priority has been given to mineral exploration and the preparation of major and minor mineral blocks and plots for auction. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma believes that promoting legal mining is the key to curbing illegal mining activities in the region," T Ravikant, principal secretary of the mines department, said.

"This successful auction, that generated a total revenue of ₹577.80 crore in premium amounts, marks a significant step toward strengthening the state's mining sector, ensuring sustainable growth, and boosting government revenue," he said.
