Tiger Cub Suspected of Killing Guard Relocated

The forest department has relocated a sub-adult male tiger cub of tigress Arrowhead suspected of killing an elderly temple guard at the Jain temple inside the Ranthambore Fort.

A senior forest official said the tranquilization and relocation of the cub took place on Tuesday night under the supervision of Ranthambore's chief conservator of forests (CCF) Anoop KR. The cub has been moved from the core area of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, where the incident had raised serious concerns about visitor and staff safety.

Further investigation, including DNA analysis, is underway to confirm the animal's role in the fatal attack.
