Temples are the soul of Indian culture: Sharma

Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his "Pariksha Par Charcha" and stressed how it played a key role in alleviating exam-related stress among students and boosting their confidence.

Sharma said such initiatives are beneficial in infusing students with positive energy, ultimately laying a strong foundation for their bright future.

Addressing an event at Mahatma Gandhi Government English Medium School, Sharma encouraged them to remain stress-free during exams and to set clear goals for themselves. He emphasised that instead of competing with others, students should motivate themselves to improve and compete with their own abilities. "Those who compete with themselves will never fall behind in life," he said, adding that learning from failures is essential. The chief minister also highlighted that achieving good marks in exams is not as important as consistently acquiring knowledge.

In the eight edition of Pariksha pe Charcha, PM Modi stressed the importance of time management in life, particularly for students and advised them to create a well-organised timetable for their studies and other activities during exams. He further suggested that meditation and yoga are incredibly helpful in overcoming stress. "Regular yoga not only reduces stress but also improves work efficiency," he said.
