Ensure free movement of people in Manipur: Shah

Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday instructed security forces and the Manipur state administration to ensure free movement for people on all roads in Manipur from March 8 and warned of strict action if anyone created obstruction.
NEW DELHI:
On Saturday morning, Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting with Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, security advisor Kuldiep Singh, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Deka, senior army officers, police chief, and director generals of CRPF, BSF and Assam Rifles.
A Press Information Bureau statement said, "Home Minister instructs free movement to be ensured for people on all roads in Manipur from March 8, 2025; take strict action against anyone attempting to create obstructions."
