DGHS warns against substandard iron meds

The directorate general of health services (DGHS) of Delhi government issued an alert last week warning against substandard intravenous medicines commonly used for treating iron deficiency anaemia and severe dehydration.
In the order issued on June 27, DGHS issued an alert for all Delhi government hospitals, informing them about poor quality of iron/ferric carboxy maltose injection, used to treat iron deficiency, and Ringer Lactate solution, used for fluid and electrolyte replenishment.
