It was one-way street again for batters under lights as Saurashtra romped toa clinical nine-wicket victory over Punjab in the second semifinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy here on Friday.
Sent in to bat, Punjab made 291 in 50 overs courtesy a patient hundred from Anmolpreet Singh and 87 from Prabhsimran Singh.
But Saurashtra opener Vishvaraj Jadeja piled on a spectacular unbeaten hundred (165 off 127 balls) to anchor the chase with two vital partnerships—172 with Harvik Desai (64 off 63 balls) and 121 with Prerak Mankad (52* off 49 balls) to scripta one-sided match.
