In the recent series of actor couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal pulling each other's legs publicly and putting up Instagram stories showing their banter, Zaheer has one-upped it yet again. He recently posted a candid close-up of Sonakshi lying in bed with two soaked tea bags on her eyes. His tongue-in-cheek caption read, "No wonder my Chai was tasting kinda strange today".
For those uninformed, placing tea bags on eyes is said to have many benefits. A Healthline report affirms, "Using tea bags on your eyes is a popular home remedy for reducing dark circles, puffiness, and redness or other colour changes. The caffeine in tea helps constrict blood vessels, lowering inflammation".
