COEP’s racing team gears up for Formula Germany

A 60-member team of students from the College of Engineering Pune Technical University (COEPTU) has earned the rare honour of qualifying for the prestigious Formula Student Germany (FSG) 2025 competition.
The event will be held next month at the historic Hockenheimring Formula One circuit, where university teams from across the world will compete with electric and driverless race cars they have designed and built from scratch.
Regarded as one of the competitive international platforms for student engineers, Formula Student Germany is not just about speed.
The contest challenges participants across a broad range of disciplines—engineering design, cost analysis, manufacturing, business presentation, efficiency, and dynamic track performance.
Team Octane Racing Electric’s selection marks a significant milestone for COEP and India.
