Minor Dalit Girl Assaulted In Darbhanga

A 14-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in a village which falls under the jurisdiction of Kamtaul police station in Darbhanga district, police said on Saturday, adding that the incident occurred on March 30 when the victim had reportedly gone to attend the call of nature.

"The accused youths followed my daughter, hurled casteist abuses, and attacked her when she protested, in which she also sustained grave injuries, including a broken spine. She has also undergone treatment at Jale Referral Hospital," said the father of the victim.
