A Delhi court on Wednesday granted former JNU student leader Umar Khalid interim bail for a week to attend his cousin's wedding.
NEW DELHI: Khalid, an accused in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or UAPA, will be out on bail from December 28 to January 3.
Additional sessions judge Sameer Bajpai of the Karkardooma Court passed the order after hearing Khalid's plea.
Additional sessions judge Sameer Bajpai approved the bail after Khalid, represented by advocates Trideep Pais and Sanya Kumar, argued that he had complied with conditions during a similar bail granted for his sister's wedding in 2022.
