Handicrafts fair shines spotlight on local artisans

Union textiles minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday inaugurated the 59th Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF Delhi Fair - Spring 2025) at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Knowledge Park II.
GREATER NOIDA: The fair is open to registered trade visitors from April 16 to 19, 9am to 6pm, officials said.
Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), the four-day event is among the world's largest platforms to source handmade lifestyle, fashion, home décor, and gift products by Indian artisans.
Calling it a celebration of "Vocal for Local" and "Make in India", Singh said the fair promotes cultural preservation, rural employment, and export growth.
