The chief of Madhya Pradesh Brahmin welfare board has stoked a row with his announcement of ₹1 lakh for Brahmin couples who decide to have "at least four children".
M-JAY is not only the biggest health cover but also the fastest implemented since conception. "The scheme is widely used and covers nearly 45% of India's population," said the Prime Minister. Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Vandana Card in 2023, which will benefit around 6 crore (60 million) women aged 70 years and above. On the occasion, people from Odisha got access to cashless payments. Over 29,000 government and private empanelled hospitals from around the country helped.
