The Bhootnii Is A Horror Comedy That Is Neither Funny Nor Scary
Hindustan Times Mumbai
|May 02, 2025
You know what hurts? When you see a spark in a film that had potential to be so much more. The Bhootnii, starring Sanjay Dutt as a ghost hunter with Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari and Mouni Roy in lead roles, is one such film.
The story begins with the annual Virgin Tree pooja at a fictitious version of Delhi University's Hindu College. Legend says whoever prays to the tree on Valentine's Day finds their 'mohabbat'. Dumped by his girlfriend, Shantanu (Sunny) wishes for love. And in comes Mohabbat—literally—a ghost by the same name (Mouni).
