Declare DPS Lake a Conservation Reserve, say Navi Mum residents

Residents of Navi Mumbai came together in Nerul on Sunday to seek declaration of the biodiversity-rich DPS Lake as a Conservation Reserve.

NAVI MUMBAI: Rekha Sankhla, a Seawoods resident, led a signature campaign and a letter with demands endorsed with over 1,200 signatures was submitted to the forest department.

"We will add this letter to strengthen our case with public opinion. The wetland is crucial for the city's habitat, and should be preserved," said Sankhla.
