LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board and the Sunni Waqf Board will get separate chief executive officers (CEOs) soon, minister for minority welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj Om Prakash Rajbhar has said.
Till now, Aziz Ahmed has been functioning as CEO of both the Sunni and Shia Waqf Board after his appointment by the state government in accordance with high court orders in June 2024.
The government has to appoint the CEOs of both the Waqf Boards by December 11, 2024.
