Ram Darbar to be placed on April 30, to open for devotees in June

The Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya will be placed on Akshay Tritiya, which falls on April 30, said Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai on Wednesday.

It will be open to devotees from June 6, according to a news agency report.

"On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the Ram Darbar will be ceremoniously placed in the sanctum sanctorum on the first floor. A three-day Pran Pratishtha ceremony is scheduled in June, during which rituals such as 'jalavas', 'annavas', 'aushadhivas', and 'shayyavas' will be performed in the presence of all trust members," said Rai. "Ram Darbar will be enshrined on the temple's first floor. Six additional temples within the 'parkota' will house idols of Surya, Bhagwati, Annapurna, Shivling, Ganpati, and Hanuman. An idol of Lakshman will be installed in the Sheshavatar Temple," said Rai.
