HP BJP lashes out at Congress for 'seeking funds from temples'

The war of words between the Congress and the BJP over the Himachal Pradesh government's move to seek funds from state-run temples for the Sukh Ashray and Sukh Shiksha scheme continued on Friday.
SHIMLA: Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur accused the Himachal government of asking for money from state-controlled temples to finance the Sukh Ashray scheme and Sukh Shiksha scheme. In a post on X, the Himachal Pradesh Assembly LoP stated that there are around 36 major temples under state government control, and these temples have been requested to provide funds to run the government scheme.
