PANIC IN IMPHAL AS HAND GRENADE AND THREAT LETTER SENT TO RESIDENCE OF A CONTRACTOR

A hand grenade along with a warning note was found at the residence of a Public Works Department (PWD) special contractor in Imphal East on Sunday morning, police said.
IMPHAL:
The contractor has been identified as Thokchom Sankar, 52, of Kairang Makha Leikai area.
"We received information that a bomb was found at the gate of Sankar's residence. A police team rushed to the spot and discovered a hand grenade at the gate, along with a warning note that read 'Who can save your family, Sankar!'," a police official said.
