Key accused in murder of RSS leader's son dead in encounter

The main accused in the murder of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader's son in Punjab's Ferozepur earlier this month was killed in a police operation in Fazilka district on Thursday, officers said.
Ferozepur range deputy inspector general (DIG) Harmanbir Singh Gill said a police team had taken the accused, Badal (who goes by single name), to the cremation ground at Mamu Johiya village in Jalalabad sub division for the recovery of the murder weapon when it came under fire from two of his accomplices hiding at the spot.
