A SURVIVOR HAD APPROACHED THE COURT AGAINST AN ORDER OF THE HC THAT GRANTED BAIL TO A RAPIST
NEW DELHI: Setting aside the bail granted to one of the accused in a gang rape case involving a minor girl from Uttar Pradesh, the Supreme Court held in its order passed on Friday but released on Tuesday, that it is mandatory to hear minor survivors of rape or gangrape before deciding the bail plea of the accused.
