Nadda Reviews Progress of MoU to Equip IMS-BHU With World-Class Facilities

Union minister of health and family welfare, JP Nadda, on Friday reviewed the progress of implementation of a tripartite MoU signed between the ministry of health & family welfare, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the ministry of education to provide enhanced funding support to the Institute of Medical Sciences-BHU by MoHFW, on the lines of the new All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, to enable it to deliver healthcare services of the highest standards.

The tripartite MoU, signed in November 2024, enables the provision of grants-in-aid to IMS-BHU on the lines of the new AIIMS set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).

IMS-BHU director Prof SN Sankhawar and other top officials attended the meeting.
