THE MOVE ALIGNS WITH NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY AND NATIONAL CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK FOR SCHOOL EDUCATION
NEW DELHI: Beauty and wellness, air-conditioning and refrigeration, apparel, Information Technology (IT), and artificial intelligence (AI) -- these are among the skill-based courses that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked its schools to offer "without delay" to students from Class 6 to Class 12, in a circular dated January 10.
"By integrating vocational skills at the school level, CBSE aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, fostering students' readiness for future challenges and opportunities," the board's circular added.
The move is in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE), a guideline for the curriculum, teaching practices, and textbooks in Indian schools.

Or will it be the Mahagathbandhan (a phalanx of the larger Opposition alliance, the INDIA bloc, in Bihar)? There's also a third player that is keenly watched — the Jan Suraaj Party, founded by pollster Prashant Kishor, who may emerge as a kingmaker.
