The Calcutta high court on Wednesday directed the Centre to place before it all records regarding litigations before the Delhi HC over the deportation of a few people found to be illegally residing in the national capital.

The court gave the order after the Centre apprised it that six people from two families based in West Bengal — who were detained in the national capital in June on charges of being illegal Bangladeshi immigrants — were deported on the orders of the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), lawyers who were present in the court said.
