Traffic brought to a crawl as cops seal UT-Mohali borders

Commuters were put through sheer hardship as the borders between Mohali and Chandigarh were sealed in anticipation of Qaumi Insaaf Morcha's march towards the Punjab chief minister's residence on Tuesday.

Despite the morcha announcing the march beforehand, no prior intimation was provided by the police to alert commuters, resulting in traffic chaos at several crucial intersections along the UT-Mohali borders.

Key routes, including the Phase 7/8 dividing road, roads leading to the Sector 52/61 intersection, the road near Amb Sahib gurdwara, the Sector 52/53 dividing road and Phase 2/3-A chowk, were sealed off, forcing commuters to take alternative routes, significantly extending their travel times.
