Ends up third in the Burnaby Central constituency with 18.1% vote share; New Democratic Party on track to garner seven seats
TORONTO: Indo-Canadian leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) Jagmeet Singh announced his intent to resign from the post in a night that saw him losing his own riding (constituency) of Burnaby Central in British Columbia.
It was a terrible outcome for Singh personally as he ended up third in the constituency, with 18.1% of the vote share, and trailing both the Liberal Party's Wade Chang and the Conservative James Yan, both of whom were thousands of ballots ahead of him.
