Ekta Nagar has emerged as a model of sustainable development, combining tourism with clean energy, green infrastructure, and local empowerment.

The area has become India’s first electric vehicle-only zone.
In October 2023, 30 diesel buses were replaced with electric buses, with 25 more to be added by 2025 to complete a fully electric fleet. Additionally, 85 pink e-rickshaws operated by trained local women, 65 electric golf carts, and with a strong charging network, 30 electric cars serve tourists.
