PM hails women-led progress

On the eve of the one-year anniversary of the Modi 3.0 government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has redefined women-led development with various initiatives aimed at empowering the country's "Nari Shakti".

"Over the last 11 years, the NDA Government has redefined women-led development," he said in a post on X. "Various initiatives, from ensuring dignity through Swachh Bharat to financial inclusion via Jan Dhan accounts, the focus has been on empowering our Nari Shakti."

The Prime Minister pointed out key schemes launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government, including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao which has ignited a "national movement to protect the girl child".

"Ujjwala Yojana brought smoke-free kitchens to several homes. MUDRA loans enabled lakhs of women entrepreneurs to pursue dreams on their own terms," he said on X. "Houses under the women's name in PM Awas Yojana too have made a remarkable impact."
