Accies Women mustget title bid going again
Hamilton Advertiser
|May 01, 2025
Hamilton Accies Women boss Robert Watson admits his side need to get their season back on track, but knows their rivals would happily swap positions with them.
Accies go into Sunday's game at home to St Johnstone after back-to-back defeats against title challengers Kilmarnock and Boroughmuir have seen an impressive lead on Killie cut to just two points, while Boroughmuir are five adrift.
But Watson says his side-which was never anybody's title favourite after dropping out of SWPL1-are still in a strong position.
He said: "We were playing the teams in positions two and three; it was disappointing to lose the games, but I don't think we deserved to lose them.
"But that's what has happened and we need to deal with that.
