Words Of Truth continued his ascent up the juvenile sprinting ranks with a professional display in the G2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, UK, on Saturday.

The son of Lope de Vega, stepping up in class for Charlie Appleby on the back of minor wins at Ascot and Newmarket, broke smartly and soon tracked Into The Sky towards the stands’ side of the eight runners.
Having travelled smoothly into the race entering the final quarter-mile, William Buick was forced to switch on the Godolphin homebred when Into The Sky drifted left soon after.
Into The Sky kicked on into a three-length advantage a furlong out but Words Of Truth stayed on strongly down the stands’ rail, collaring the leader in the final strides before going away for a length verdict.
