Sharjah arrests man for selling fake holy water

Sharjah Municipality, in collaboration with the Inspection and Control Department and the Health and Safety Control Department, raided a residence converted by its tenant into a site for bottling tank water in plastic containers, falsely labelled as Zamzam water, and selling it at high prices.
The municipality has initiated legal and administrative proceedings against the suspect.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, stated that the suspect was apprehended during routine inspections across various areas, adding that authorities noticed vehicles loading large quantities of bottled water from a residential home. Immediately, the concerned teams coordinated, raided the site, and arrested the suspect.
