Parents, visitors banned from boarding school buses: MoE

In circulars sent to schools, the Ministry of Education (MoE) emphasised that no parent or visitor should board school buses under any circumstances, noting that only students and authorised employees are permitted to do so.

The Ministry explained that this measure is intended to maintain a safe and disciplined environment on buses, and to prevent any violations that could endanger students or interfere with the work of drivers and supervisors. According to the circular, the Ministry has indicated that all school buses are equipped with surveillance cameras that operate throughout the academic year to document progress and monitor potential violations.

This contributes to building trust between schools and parents, and is part of an integrated system for protecting students during transport.
