India's defence production enters new era: Rajnath

Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, made history in defence production on Saturday as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles manufactured at the BrahMos Aerospace Unit in Sarojini Nagar.

Rajnath on Saturday said that "every inch of Pakistan is now within the range of the BrahMos missile," as he hailed the successful delivery of the first batch of BrahMos missiles produced at the Lucknow facility of BrahMos Aerospace.
Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony in Lucknow, where he was joined by Yogi, Singh said India's defence manufacturing capabilities have entered a new era, with Lucknow emerging as a major centre of the country's security and self-reliance.
