'Grieving' Wales ready to end 18-game losing run: Sherratt

Wales interim head coach Matt Sherratt said on Thursday that he had given his players 'time to grieve' over their latest defeat as he named his team for their second Test against Japan.

The Welsh went down 24-19 in last weekend's first Test for their 18th straight loss, extending a record for a Tier One country in the professional era.

They will have another chance to break the streak on Saturday in Kobe, with fly-half Dan Edwards to make his first international start in place of Sam Costelow.

Sherratt said he had given his team two days off after the defeat in Kitakyushu, following advice given to him earlier this year by Ireland head coach Andy Farrell, now coaching the British and Irish Lions in Australia.
