Fujairah Police nab gang within 3 hours of robbery

FUJAIRAH: In a new security achievement that adds to the Ministry of Interior's distinguished track record, the Fujairah Police arrested a gang that had robbed bank customers in the emirate just hours after the crime was committed.

Brigadier Dr. Ali Rashid Bin Awash Al Yamahi, Director General of Police Operations, explained that on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, at 10:50 am, the operations room received a report from a female bank customer indicating that she had been robbed of Dhs195,000 in a cunning manner.
The perpetrators had made her believe that there was a problem with the rear tyre of her vehicle.
While she was checking it, one of them took advantage of the situation by opening the door from the other side and stealing the money before fleeing.
