Flick backs Garcia to shrug off Espanyol backlash in derby

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick on Friday backed Joan Garcia to overcome hostility during this weekend's derby at Espanyol - the goalkeeper's first return to the Spanish giant's crosstown rivals since his summer transfer.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper infuriated Espanyol fans after joining their illustrious local rivals in June for around 26 million euros.
A fiery atmosphere is expected on Saturday for Garcia's return to the RCDE Stadium, where a win would move the defending Liga champions temporarily seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top.
