There is a growing trend of litigants using artificial intelligence tools to draft legal memoranda, contracts, and even full defence statements, bypassing traditional law firms and legal consultants in an effort to save time and cut costs.

Legal experts, however, caution that while AI platforms like ChatGPT and DeepSeek offer accessible and instant solutions, their use by individuals without legal backgrounds could result in dismissed cases or forfeited legal rights.
