Daryl Mitchell hit 80 as New Zealand took a first innings lead of 158 runs before claiming two late wickets on the second day of the first Test against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club yesterday.

Zimbabwe were 31 for two at the close, still 127 runs short of making New Zealand bat again.
It was a disappointing end to Zimbabwe, who fought back strongly before Mitchell reasserted New Zealand's control.
