COME JAN 1 WE'LL SEE THE END OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC ITEMS
Dubai Municipality yesterday announced that it has issued guidelines on the regulation of single-use products as the emirate will enter the final phase of ban on single-use plastic products in one week.
The municipality announced that the final phase of the Executive Council Resolution No. (124) of 2023 regulating the use of single-use products in Dubai — issued by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai — will come into effect on 1 January 2026.
This milestone coincides with the enforcement of Cabinet Resolution No. (380) of 2022 regulating the use of single-use products across UAE markets.
