Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi announced the establishment of a unified GCC Civil Aviation Authority during the 46th GCC Summit in Bahrain, marking a major step towards deeper regional integration across aviation, travel systems and regulatory frameworks.

The decision follows recommendations made by the GCC Executive Committee for Civil Aviation in Kuwait City, where proposals for a single authority, Unified Upper Airspace and Advanced Air Mobility, were presented for endorsement by the GCC Supreme Council.
